Damask Divas Pathfinding Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Pathfinding Blog Hop!

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart.

If you just stopped in from Jennifer Dykstra's page, you are in the right place!  If you just came across the blog hop, be sure to see all the wonderful entries by visiting Damask Divas by clicking HERE.

For my project, I wanted something simple but yet rustic.  Pathfinding B&T Papers are so beautiful and provide a modern rustic appeal.  The papers are so versatile through any project you want to do!!

This A2 card base is Colonial White with Pathfinding and Yuletide B&T Papers.  I had a Herringbone embossing folder that I wanted to use to give a dimensional look to the Yuletide paper in the background with the bottom layer of Champagne cardstock.  I then used coordinating colors with Pathfinding, Colonial White and Barn Red, I cut out 2 "Autumn" sentiments (same size) and attached them to create a shadow.  The acorn cut was cut using one B&T paper, the acorns and leaf fill was one side and the other side was the top layers of acorn and outer edging of cut.  I added a burlap bow in the upper corner along with rust colored Stickles too add a little bling to my acorn cut.

It is simple, clean and cute!

Now to the next Blog Hop is Brenda Zimmerman.

Damask Divas Scaredy Cat Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Scaredy Cat Blog Hop!

If you just came from Jessica Wilson's page, you are in the right place.  If you are just joining the hop here, please visit Damask Divas website to see the entire list of consultants!

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart and my project features a mini photo album with pocket pages.

Here is the project I made with the Scaredy Cat B&T Paper from Close to my Heart.

I received this mini album from a friend of mine and what a great time to decorate it up!
I also used previous Halloween papers from Close to my Heart...just to show that after a couple of years, you can still mix and match!

Scaredy Cat is a beautiful paper pack, it can work as a stand alone paper without incorporating Halloween into the mix...I also love the new color Close to my Heart added to this paper pack..it is called "Thistle"...Click--->>HERE to see the entire Thistle collection.

I measured every page of this album, that is one important thing to do!  Not every page is the same size on certain albums.  I penciled in the measurements on the specific page where I would cover with B&T papers and/or cardstock.

I also made cuts from the Artbooking Cricut Collection from Close to my Heart.

The Chevron Embossing Folder can be purchased with Close to my Heart.  Click here to see all the embossing folders Close to my Heart has by clicking--->>HERE.  For the BOO embossed page, I distressed around the word "BOO" and used sponge dauber along with Sunset Exclusive Ink Pad to add color to the embossed image.

Thank you for stopping by!  Next on the hop is Felicia Tortorici's page.  iF you are just joining the hop here, please visit Damask Divas website to see the entire list of consultants!

Holiday Gift Box 1

Welcome to Paper Crafting 101.

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart.

I am going to be providing Holiday Gift Box Ideas every 2 weeks from now until just before Christmas.

Most will have coordinating cards and tags as well as the gift box.

So let me introduce my first box I have made.

Using Close to my Hearts Art Philosophy and Artiste Cricut Collections, I have made a tall double ended box.

Here is my recipe to help you get creative!  No stamps required for this project!

Artiste Page 40 for box and lid.  Box you will size at 5.0" high and the lid you will size to 5.50" high.  If you have the Cricut Explore, be sure to have your score tool placed in housing on your Explore.

I used Kraft Cardstock for the box and B&T Papers from Yuletide Paper Pack in the 2014 Annual Inspirations book.

Do not assemble the box, you can bend the score lines but here is next step...

You will then emboss the Kraft Cardstock with Close to my Heart's Quatrefoil Embossing Folder.  You will emboss it twice.  First,  fit it from smallest fold line first all the way into folder.  To finish the other end, place and line up area that needs embossed to pattern on embossing folder.

Now you can assemble the box and lids.

You will select the following for Poinsettia Flower on the box:

1. Stamen on white Poinsettia is cut at .50" using Accent1 on page 77.  I used Red Glitz to add color.
Stamen on red Poinsettia is from the Pearl Accents.

2. Smaller of the Poinsettia bloom cut is from Art Philosophy, page 27.  Cut at 1.25"  I distressed edges on white flower and sanded to reveal white core on the red flowers.  You will repeat this for the remaining bloom cuts.

3. Medium and Large Poinsettia bloom cuts are also from Art Philosophy, page 22 Cut at 2.00" and at 2.50"

4. Leaves are from the Holly cut in Art Philosophy, page 46.  Cut at 1.15" (2 cuts)

5. Swirl is on Artiste page 43 cut at .75" (2 cuts)

I use flower shaping tools to form flowers but you can use an embossing tip tool to roll the flowers and then use score the lines for the leaves.

To assemble the flower, I used mini glue dots to attached blooms, leaves and swirl.  I then used foam tape on back of assembled Poinsettia prior to placing on box.

If you need to purchase any of the suggested materials, tools or products...please visit my Close to my Heart shopping web page at www.consultant.ctmh.com.

Damask Divas Chalk It Up Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Chalk It Up Blog Hop.

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart.

Thank you for "hopping" by...if you came from Jessica Wilson's Craftin' and Stampin' Blog, you are in the right place.  To see all Blop Hop projects visit DamaskDivas.com or click --->> HERE.

My project features two 3D element cuts from the Artiste Cricut Collection.  Frame and sentiment cuts are from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.

I then used Chalk It Up Compliments and Assortments to give some fun finishing touches!

I have 2 grand boys that are anxious for the school year...One will be in First Grade and the other will be in Kindergarten.  So with their excitement, I decided to make some "Home Decor" items that will be "awesome"!
I personally think they will be precious once their school pictures are placed in the frames!

The first is the milk carton cut (Fit to Page)  and the second is a bag cut (Fit to Page) and both are from the Artiste Cricut Collection.

The school sentiments are on the Artbooking Cricut Collection and same with the picture frames (4x4 size).  I scaled the 3-2-1 to fit in with the milk carton and left the arrow frame as size.

Then I finished them up by placing random cuts from the compliments collection and added bubble stickers from the Assortments collection of Chalk It Up.

Jubilee Mason Jar Card

Welcome to Paper Crafting 101!

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart.

I love country settings even though I truly love Big Cities...I incorporated my country with the fun use of a mason jar cut.

Using Close to my Heart's My Reflections  Jubliee Paper Pack, Made from Scratch My Acrylix™ Stamp Set and Barn Red Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad.

The mason jar cut was a cut on the Design Space software for Cricut Explore.

I inked the A2 card with the grosgrain stamp in Barn Red and then made layered cuts of the Mason Jar.  I then cut the label to size recommended on the stamp set.

The project was fun to create, finished it off with a metal tag and Blue Baker's Twine.

Enjoy!

July is the last month Jubilee will be featured with Close to my Heart, to order please visit www.consultant.ctmh.com and select shop and type "Jubilee" in search to see all the goodies!!

Damask Divas Skylark Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Skylark Blog Hop!

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart and this is your first blog for the Skylart Blog Hop.  If you are just arriving here, please be sure to visit Damask Divas by clicking --> HERE or select Brenda Zimmerman "Keepable Paper Creations" at the bottom of my page to go through the hop.

My Skylark Blog Hop has several projects!  This paper pack is AMAZING!  Once you start working with it, you will find yourself in the same predicament; not being able to stop, that I promise!

So, in honor of my Grandmothers birthday on the 5th, I wanted to make a card and gift set...she has many pictures just sitting in shoe boxes, Oh MY!  Yes, shoe boxes...so, I decided to make her an 8 x 8 mini album to be part of her gift set!

Using Close to my Heart's Cricut Collections, I was able to cut every part of these projects.

To start, I used the square "S" Swing Card cut from Artiste.  I then sized labels to work for sentiment. The card is just so easy to work with, using the B&T papers gives the swing cards a nice variation to a traditional card.  Added bonus on swing cards, you see both side of paper!!

For the 8 x 8 mini album, I cut out 8" square cereal box cardboard and cut B&T papers to fit.  I also did Mixed Media techniques to some of the pages.  It was so fun to create this!  Then I used my "The Cinch" to make it a spiral bound album.

For my final project to complete her birthday gift kit is of course FLOWERS!!  Love the spiral flower cuts from Art Philosophy!!  I used the pointed rose petal and sized 4" and 3.5".  Then used leaves and foliage to compliment.  The funnest part, was getting it all placed in the Pillow Box!

Thank you for viewing my projects using Close to my Heart's Skylark paper pack.  Next to see is Brenda Zimmerman's Keepable Paper Creations Blog!  If you are here and want to see all the Blog's, click -->HERE to visit DamaskDivas.com.

Damask Divas Timberline Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Timberline Blog Hop!

My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart.

If you just came from Jessica Wilson's Craftin' and Stampin' blog, you are in the right place.  To see the entire list of entries, visit Damask Divas Timberline Blog Hop.

For my Timerbline project, I did a 2 scrapbook pages, one themed for engagement and the other for a fisherman.

Products used were Timberline Paper Pack, Watercolor Pencils with Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint, Catch You Later Stamp Set and Slate Ink Pad.

For the Engagement Page, I used my Cricut Explore and Black Pen to write the fisherman/boat frame on the 12 x 12 Slate cardstock from Timberline Paper Pack.  I then cut up pieces of Background and Texture (B&T) Papers from Timberline Paper Pack to work for boat and fisherman's hat and clothes.  I then selected a stamp from Catch You Later Stamp Set and pre-cut with my Cricut from Art Philosophy Cricut Collection.  The wedding rings, hook and sentiment were all given to me by friends while I was making these pages at a crop, if you have never been to a weekend crop, they are amazing and you learn so much while there and the fun never ends!!

For the Fishing Page, I again used my Cricut Explore and Black Pen to add phrase at top of page.  I then colored in the lower wording with some watercolor pencils and then using a Q-Tip, I applied Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint over the top, what a surprise to see the reflective affect!  I again pre-cut a label from the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection for the stamped image and then I worked in the 1/2" border from the B&T Papers and 4 x 12" all using Timberline Paper Pack.

Just to give you an idea of how fun this paper pack is, I love to make quick Journal Books and pictured below is  6 x 6 page Journal Book I made using Timberline Paper Pack.  I also have enough papers left over to make a few cards and another 2 page scrapbook layout!

If you came here from Jessica Wilson's Craftin and Stampin, you are in the right place!  To see the Damask Divas projects, please go to Damask Divas Lollydoodle Blog Hop-->>HERE<<--

For my project I wanted to get a little crafty for a girls bedroom...

My girls just loved trinket boxes and we always had so much fun making them when they were younger...so in honor of my girls', I thought I would restart a tradition!

Using a drawer set and an open container, I painted both containers in Pink Acrylic paint and used the main page from the Lollydoodle Paper Pack to cover the containers after being painted.
I then used the Artbooking Cricut Collection to cut shapes to for both containers, added some gems from the Lollydoodle Assortment and whalla!!

It is so fun being creative and Lollydoodle paper pack offers so many fun ways to be creative, just like you will see on the Damask Divas Lollydoodle Blog Hop.
